In any case, both me and Tobias are very eager to start working. The amount of work that still needs to be done is overwhelming, but at the same provides a great challenge. The therapist who was here before me already did a lot of work in raising money to get some toys, art materials, and dress up clothes for the therapy, but the room definitely needs a lot more to give the children the sense of a safe place where they can calm down and feel comfortable to process some of their experiences. I wish I had one of Katrin´s Snoezelraums here! Also, we need financial support to give the children the chance to leave the orphanage every once in a while for outings. If any of you are interested in supporting our work at NPH, that would mean a great deal to us. I will be sending an email with more information and account information around shortly.

Hey Mrs. B and Mr. T!
I miss running into you on Commercial! It is just not the same without you in the office either. I've read Mr. T's post too,interesting...reminds me of our "save the world" talks.
I will for sure follow your adventures and live vicariously through you and maybe...just maybe...follow u one day.
Besos...
Dear B and T,
It's always a pleasure to read your posts. You should write more often though. I understand the challenge of starting to talk about AIDS, as you know I work with vulnerable youth as well. We just got a huge grant from UNDP Global Fond to Fight AIDS... It's not so much a taboo among the mainstream youth, but among vulnerable groups it is, which makes them also more vulnerable to AIDS!
I hope you're able to change the way the topic is handled at your orphanage! It's a pity that some people just don't get how important it is to be informed.
Best of luck!
Ida
Hello T&B,
I miss you both so much that I actually got a gmail account just so I could post on your blog. It's very interesting to read what you are up to and I'm much more able to process it now that I'm finally settled in Cairo. I did have the pleasure of corresponding with Mrs. B earlier last month, but I have yet to hear from Mr. T... I hope that you are both keeping well...I'm tempted to keep a blog myself, if only to post pics.
